It's that time of year again! We are pleased to present the Volunteer Committee Descriptions and Application for the 2013 Honda Classic, to be held February 25th through March 3rd at PGA National Resort and Spa.
As many of you know, our Volunteer Chairman, Mr. Mallory Privett, has resigned after six years of amazing service and dedication to this event and our team. Mallory was instrumental in developing our volunteer program and a key reason our tournament has become so successful over the years. While he will be missed greatly, we are thankful for his assistance in helping us select his successor. Please join us in welcoming Mr. Jim Coleman as our new Volunteer Chairman. Many of you will recognize Jim as he has served as our Standard Bearer Chairman for the past five years. Jim brings to us over 12 years of leadership experience at various PGA, Web.com (formerly Nationwide), Champions and LPGA Tours.
The popularity of The Honda Classic continues to grow. We have increased our volunteer corps to over 1,400 members, and therefore, must adhere strictly to this year's application deadline of January 15, 2013. Applications received after January 15, 2013 will be placed on a wait list and applicants will be notified only if a position becomes available. Please review the volunteer packages below, along with the committee descriptions prior to completing your application.
We encourage you to complete your application online, but a printed version is available to submit via email, mail or fax. Again, applications are due no later than January 15, 2013. Checks should be made payable to "Children's Healthcare Charity, Inc." Applications will not be processed without payment and will be returned.

The volunteer package for 2013 will be $65.00. This package, valued at $300.00, will consist of:
Earn community service hours while volunteering at the Honda Classic! To qualify as a junior/student volunteer, you must be between the ages of 13-21. Positions available for students are admissions, courtesy check, fan zone, standard bearer, shotlink, uniform sales, and will call. **Childcare volunteers must be age 17 or older.
The junior/student volunteer package for 2013 will again be $20.00. This package includes:
The "walk with a parent/guardian" package for 2013 will be $25.00. This is for volunteers under 13 years of age (ages 7-12) and includes:
We ask that all junior/student volunteers commit to work at least two shifts (shift times vary depending upon committee, but are generally 4-6 hours).
Over 1,500 volunteers are needed to create a successful event and we are hopeful you will join us.
There are many different volunteer positions available, for people of all ages. The committee descriptions will help you to determine the area in which you would like to volunteer. Please note that some committees may require work prior to and after tournament week. While committee assignments cannot be guaranteed, we will do our best to accommodate your selection.
