The Honda Classic

The 2010 Honda Classic will be held at PGA National Resort and Spa, March 1 - 7. Over 1,200 volunteers are needed to create a successful event and we are hopeful you will join us this spring.

There are many different volunteer positions available, for people of all ages. The committee descriptions will help you to determine the area in which you would like to volunteer. Please note that some committees may require work prior to and after tournament week. While committee assignments cannot be guaranteed, we will do our best to accommodate your selection.

Tournament Volunteer

The volunteer package for 2010 will be $65.00. This package, valued at $300.00, will consist of:

• Tournament shirt, hat and name badge (additional shirts at a discounted price will be available at uniform distribution);
• Two (2) weekly ticket books for admission;
• Lunch will be provided each day you work;
• Two (2) golf coupons for play at any of the courses at PGA National. The coupons allow you to play for the discounted price of $25.00 plus tax (no surcharge to play on the Champion course). Coupons can be used May 1 thru Sept. 30, 2010. You must work three shifts to receive the golf coupons.

Junior/Student Volunteer

Earn community service hours while volunteering at the Honda Classic! Positions available for students are standard bearer, fan zone, admissions, courtesy check and shot link.

To qualify as a junior/student volunteer, you must be between the ages of 13-21. Those under 13 years of age can participate in our "walk with a parent/guardian" standard bearer program (ages 7-12). Parents walking with children will also be given a t-shirt. Please, only one child per parent.

The junior/student volunteer package for 2010 will be $20.00. This package will include:

• Honda Classic t-shirt and name badge (which allows tournament entry for the entire week);
• One (1) weekly ticket book for admission;
• Lunch will be provided each day you work (continental breakfast available in the mornings);
• If you are a student walking with a parent, the parent will also get a Honda Classic t-shirt and name badge.

We ask that all junior/student volunteers commit to work at least two shifts (shift times vary depending upon committee, but are generally 4-6 hours). Please note there are a limited number of standard bearer positions available.
