THURSDAY, MARCH 4TH – LAST PUTT DROP (EST 6PM) – 9PM
Dirty University: As one of the most in-demand acoustic duos in South Florida, Dirty University creates a concert like show while retaining the charm and intimacy of a two man acoustic band. Playing songs that have made an impact on them and their lives, their vast catalog ranges from the roots o
f popular rock beginning in the 1960's, through the most current songs of today.
As a songwriting and musical performance team, Mike Sanchez and Biaggio Cangiano began their collaboration in December 1999 with the creation of "The Curve," an all original band out of West Palm Beach. They have performed shows on the stages of Sunfest, Hard Rock Live, The House of Blues and many others, and have played with the likes of Bryan Adams, Daughtry, Journey, Switchfoot, Fuel, Breaking Benjamin, Socialburn and Nonpoint, to name a few. Dirty University, with four full-length self produced albums to their credit, and a desire to perfect and perform the greatest songs written over the last fifty years, delivers a memorable show that not only appeals to a wide demographic, but does so with the perfect amount of class and high energy rock-n-roll.
FRIDAY, MARCH 5TH – LAST PUTT DROP (EST 6PM) – 9PM
BREEZE: The finest "tribute" band you will ever hear. Longtime fans of this group all say the same thing; "It's amazing-you're hearing all your favorite artists in concert-all in one night." With uncanny vocals and musicianship, BREEZE presents the frontrunners and pioneers of rock and folk rock in a concert-style performance-highlighting everyone from Jethro Tull and the Moody Blues, to Neil Young, Americ
a, Chicago, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. You will travel back to the days of Deep Purple, the Allman Brothers, the Doobie Brothers, Van Morrison, Santana and Pink Floyd to name a few. So come and listen to BREEZE-and you may catch yourself saying "Man... you just close your eyes!"
BREEZE has been at the forefront of the South Florida music scene for almost 30 years, playing in many premier clubs and venues. The band has appeared at countless outdoor events including SunFest®, The Pompano and Fort Lauderdale Seafood Festivals and The Starlight Concert Series. BREEZE has opened for major acts such as Blood Sweat & Tears, America, Jefferson Starship, The Beach Boys, The Rascals, Badfinger, Steppenwolf and Kansas-and were chosen by the Miami Dolphins as their official tailgate band. The popular Miami radio station BIG106 selected BREEZE as its featured entertainment during their Block Party Summer campaign.
SATURDAY, MARCH 6TH – LAST PUTT DROP (EST 6PM) – 9PM
Boss Groove: The name implies "being in charge of the deepest rhythm," a phrase that aptly describes this accomplished group. Hailing from the Treasure Coast, this is one of the region's most complete and energetic collections of musical talent.
We're talking about a show band here. A seven piece wall of sound, which tips the hat to legendary bands such as Tower of Power, Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire to the new sounds of the Dave Matthews Band, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Blues Traveler and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Local to the Treasure Coast, the band has been on a straight shot towards regional fame and exposure, often placing as a headliner, bill-mate or opener for such national acts such as "Blood Sweat and Tears", "Georgia Satellites", "Little Feat", and "Bad Company".
Boss Groove always delivers the goods. Strengthened through a long history together and fortified by talent, Boss Groove is back and badder than ever
SUNDAY, MARCH 7TH – LAST PUTT DROP (EST 6PM) – 8PM
Shauna Sweeney Band: In a place such as South Florida where seasoned players have been holding down gigs since before her birth, an up-and-coming songstress like Shauna Sweeney might have their work cut out carving a niche for themselves. But watching this bubbly, charismatic songstress floor the crowd with her disarmingly candid lyrics and powerful, earthy vocals makes it easy to see how she has managed to do just that. In the last four years she has continued to gain fans, playing 700+ shows and offering up solid, groovy rhythms on both a sunflower-dressed acoustic guitar, and her beloved African djembe drum.
Shauna Sweeney's enjoyment of the tunes as she plays is undeniable, and her infectious enthusiasm has made her a popular act at South Florida spots such as the Old Key Lime House, Miami's famous Tobacco Road and West Palm Beach's CityPlace stage. Local recognition has also led to performances at the Cruzan Amphitheatre's VIP room for the Dave Matthews Band concert in West Palm Beach, the South Florida Folk & Acoustic Music Festival, the Riverwalk Blues Festival, and a season-long stint as the Club Level half-time performer at the U of Miami Hurricane Football games at Dolphin Stadium.
